Homemade burgers with sweet potato fries by @getoutdoors.africa
Ingredients:
For the Burger Patties
- Minced Beef 1kg (lean)

Bacon Leftovers from breakfast (finely chopped)

1 Red Onion (finely diced) / 3 x Small Red Onions

2 tbsp African Wild Spice Woza or your favourite bbq/braai spice

1 tbsp African Wild Spice SPG (Salt Pepper Garlic) or Garlic Powder

1 tbsp African Wild Spice Worcestershire Spice or Worcestershire Sauce

1 tbsp African Wild Spice Wasabi and Soy Sauce or Soy Sauce and a dash of Wasabi Paste

2 Eggs

Butter – 100g (finely grated)

Gouda Cheese (slices or grated)

Salt & Pepper to taste
For the Toppings
- Fresh Slicing Tomato
- Rocket/Lettuce
- Sourdough or 6 x Fresh Rolls
For the Burger Sauce
- Tomato/Burger Sauce
For the Onions
- Butter 50g
- 2 large Red/onions, sliced
- 1-2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
For the Onions
- Frozen Sweet Potato Fries/Potato Fries
Directions:
- Combine all the ingredients for the burger patties. Divide into
appropriately sized burger patties. - Prepare your COBB Grill and light a CobbleStone and wait a few
minutes until it has turned grey. Or, if you don’t have a CobbleStone
on hand, ready your briquettes. - Place Griddle+ and Dome Lid on and allow 5 minutes for Griddle+ to
heat up. - Add sweet potato fries inside the COBB Inner sleeve and place Dome
Lid on. Cook for 5mins. - Place burger patties on Griddle+.5.
- Flip burgers, cook until they are done to your liking.6.
- Place your Frying Dish on the COBB.7.
- Once your Dish is heated, add butter and the sliced onion with a
pinch of salt. Fry for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. - When onions are softened, add balsamic vinegar – fry for a further
15 minutes, stirring occasionally. - Build your burger with your favourite toppings and enjoy!
